Graduation Requirements

There are three different curriculum programs at CCHS. These programs are designed to meet the academic needs of students of varied learning abilities and performance levels. Further details and course listings for each program are provided during the time of course registration.

College Preparatory Program
Students in this program take the required courses to prepare them for acceptance at colleges or universities. The students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average (unweighted), serve 100 community service hours, earn 26 credits from the following courses:

  • Bible=4
  • English=4
  • Math=4
  • Social Studies=4
  • Science=3
  • Foreign Language=2
  • Fine Arts=2
  • Health/PE=1
  • Computer/Technology=.5
  • Electives or additional courses in the previously listed subject areas=2.5

Honors College Preparatory Program
Students in this program take the rigorous and demanding courses to prepare them for acceptance at selective colleges or universities. The students in the Honors Program build their transcripts with 12 Honor Credits (taking Honors, Dual Credit, and Advanced Placement courses), maintain a minimum 3.25 grade point average (unweighted), serve 125 community service hours, and earn a total of 28 credits from the following courses:

  • Social Studies=4
  • Science=4
  • Foreign Language=2
  • Fine Arts=2
  • Health/PE=1
  • Computer/Technology=.5
  • Electives or additional courses in the previously listed subject areas=3.5

Advanced College Preparatory Program
Students in this program take the most rigorous and demanding courses to prepare them for acceptance at selective colleges or universities. The students in the Advanced Program build their transcripts with 15 Honor Credits (taking Honors, Dual Credit, and Advanced Placement courses), maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average (unweighted), serve 150 community service hours, and earn a total of 30 credits from the following courses:
