Brass Fundamentals Workshop

The Brass Fundamentals Workshop is led by CCHS Band Director, Mr. Michael Martell. The workshop will meet once per week for one hour each week. Topics that will be covered during the workshop are: breathing, emboucher, mouthpiece buzzing, articulation, tone, range, and practice routines. The goal of the workshop is that by the end of the summer, each student will improve their overall technique and have a firm understanding of how to implement a practice routine. The content is designed for a brass player who has already has experience in playing a brass instrument. There is no cost to attend the Brass Fundamentals Workshop. You do not have to attend each weekly session to regiser. We realize vacations may interrupt some weeks.

Dates: June 13th, 20st, 27th, July 6th, 11th, 18th, 25th

Time: 4:30 – 5:30 PM

Color Guard Clinic

Calvary's Color Guard Instructor, Mrs. Anne-Marie Gaige, will provide a two-day clinic on the fundamentals of color guard techniques for participating in a high school marching band. The clinic is open to middle school and high school girls, and there is no charge for participation; however, you must register to participate. Please select the link below to register. 24-hour Theatre Project

What is a 24-hour theatre project? Basically, just what it sounds like: a public performance of a play that did not even exist 24 hours before showtime. CCHS Drama Director, will guide students through the complete process of writing, set design, character choices, practices, and presentation of the play. The 24-hour Theatre will be held on campus at CCHS on July 6th and 7th, 2017. The project is open to CCHS students entering 9th - 12th grades for the 2017 school year. The cost to participate is $100. The fee includes meals during the 24-hour theatre, and all other related expenses. Select the link below for more information and to register to participate.
