Hernandez-Hoffman assumes the position left vacant by Keith Savage when he resigned to work full-time at Skycrest Christian School. Coach Hernandez-Hoffman comes to Calvary with playing experience at a very high level and coaching experience that includes 4 years as the Head Coach for boys U9-U16 in the Gulf Coast United League in Largo. He also served 3 years as Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer at Clearwater Christian College in which the team won the NCCAA National Championship in 2009 and 2010. Most recently, he has served as Director of Coaching for Calvary Soccer/Major Beach Soccer with the team winning the National Championship in 2015 and 2016. Most of all, Coach Hernandez-Hoffman is a man of God with a desire to influence young men for Christ as he coaches them in the sport of soccer. Head of School, Mr. David Kilgore, expressed his encouragement to be able to hire someone with Hernandez-Hoffman’s experience and knowledge of the sport to continue the growth and development of the men’s soccer program at CCHS. “The level of interest in soccer at CCHS has grown tremendously in recent years and the program has become known as a well-coached, competitive program,” Kilgore said. He added, “Coach Hernandez-Hoffman and Coach Keith Savage are friends, and Coach Savage is committed to work with Hernandez-Hoffman to make a smooth transition for the leadership of the soccer program.” A meeting will be planned soon to introduce Coach Hernandez-Hoffman to the players and parents.
