Welcome to the CCHS Department of College Counseling!
The mission of the CCHS College Counseling Department is to cultivate supportive relationships with families while guiding students to explore their future plans through a biblical worldview, aligning with their God-given talents and abilities.
All advising personnel have significant professional experience and a personal commitment to biblical truth that informs the development and implementation of the college counseling curriculum. We approach the college-going process from a “best fit” perspective that keeps the student’s academic, social, and spiritual needs as the priority.
Through college exposure opportunities, guided grade-level curriculum plans, parent education opportunities, and individual advising sessions, college counseling at CCHS is designed to partner with the family and equip the student to choose the post-secondary option that will best prepare him or her to be the person God has uniquely designed the student to be for the purpose He has for the student’s life.
CCHS is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals. As a member of these organizations, we are committed to the Statement of Principles of Good Practice which supports the ethical obligation to report serious behavioral matters to colleges during the application and admission process. For CCHS students this is defined as any disciplinary matters that require an out-of-school suspension or expulsion.
