Standardized Testing
While the high school grade point average is the best indicator of college success, colleges continue to utilize the SAT and ACT as additional means to predict college readiness. In addition to admission decisions, colleges will use the SAT and ACT for placement into certain courses as well as for scholarships. Florida Bright Futures also requires SAT, ACT, or CLT scores along with GPA and community service. The Classic Learning Test (CLT) is another standardized test that is increasingly accepted by college and university admissions offices for the application process.

*Note that CCHS does not automatically receive your CLT scores; you must send them to us from your CLT portal.

When testing digitally, CCHS recommends that students bring a backup device on testing day. This ensures you can access the digital testing platform and avoid disruptions if your primary device fails or cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
