Clubs

Calvary students have opportunities to participate in membership-based clubs that are organized and led by students with a CCHS employee serving as the Club Sponsor. Some of the clubs have membership requirements that must be met, and other clubs have open membership to CCHS students. Select the tabs below to learn about each club.

Membership in the Best Buddies Club will give students the opportunity to build one-to-one friendships with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social interactions while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through the Best Buddies Club, people with IDD will form meaningful connections with CCHS students to help them gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many individuals enjoy.

Sponsor: Mrs. Suzanne Smith

The club gives students the opportunity to gather after school to have fun through healthy competition by participating in a variety of board games and card games. Students will be challenged through the competition and will have the opportunity to meet classmates and develop friendships.

Sponsor:  Mr. Tristan Finlayson

The Calvary Student Newspaper Club is a student-led publication dedicated to showcasing the stories and experiences of Warrior students, faculty, and staff. Rooted in the school’s four pillars, the club celebrates student achievements, campus events, and community life. Members develop their writing, journalistic, and leadership skills as they inform, inspire, and serve the CCHS community, using their talents to glorify God.

Club Sponsor: Mrs. Autumn Stradley

The goal of the CCHS Engineering Club is to teach students engineering concepts in a fun way that will broaden their knowledge of engineering and allow them to interact with other students who have a shared interest in engineering.

The Engineering Club allows students to explore a variety of engineering fields and exposes students to the many different careers available in the fields of engineering through the use of guest speakers.  The Club expands students’ leadership skills by conducting demonstrations, lab activities, and community outreach events. The Engineering Club reinforces the importance of other related classes, such as math and chemistry.

Sponsor: Mr. Steven Eicholtz

The Environmental Club is dedicated to caring for the Earth as faithful stewards of God's creation. Protecting the environment is not only a moral responsibility, but also a spiritual calling. Inspired by our faith, we work together to promote sustainable practices, raise environmental awareness, and take action in our community to preserve the beauty and resources of the world God entrusted to us.

Through clean-up events, educational workshops, conservation projects, and service opportunities, the club aims to reflect God's love by respecting and protecting the Earth for future generations. Whether you're passionate about nature, justice, or faith-based service, this is a space to grow, serve, and make a difference together.

“The Earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1

Club Sponsor: Mrs. Heidi Stenberg

Membership in the CCHS eSports Club will introduce the world of eSports to students and create a competitive and fun environment where they can prepare for eSports competition events. The eSports Club will meet regularly after school in designated classrooms. Membership is limited to 12 students.

Sponsor:  Mr. James Panagiotacos

The FCA Club is designed to train students in godliness and use sports as a platform to share their faith, but it is not only for student athletes, but for anyone willing to grow in their relationship with our Lord.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives...one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

We hope you have given prayer and consideration about joining Calvary's chapter of the FCA. If you want to join, please complete the requested information below. If you have questions about FCA, please contact the club sponsor.

Sponsor: Mr. John Cautero

The Law Studies Club invites students to explore the world of law, justice, and civic responsibility through the truth of God’s Word. This club provides a space to learn about legal systems, understand individual rights, and discuss real-world legal issues while seeking to apply biblical principles to modern challenges.

Through engaging activities such as mock trials, case studies, guest speakers, and group discussions, students will have the opportunity to explore potential legal careers and gain insight into how law shapes our world. More importantly, they will learn how to think critically and compassionately about justice, leadership, and service in light of Scripture.

Rooted in our calling to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8), the Law Studies Club encourages students to grow in wisdom, leadership, and faith as they prepare to be Christ-centered citizens in today’s society.

Club Sponsor: Mr. Cautero

The mission of the medical club is to expose students through a Biblical worldview to various medical professions, to gain general understanding of medical knowledge, and to provide ministry opportunities in both the school and community. Students will have the opportunity to meet healthcare workers and even have some hands-on experiences. This club’s desire is to connect students who are thinking about a possible career in medicine to a variety of first-hand learning opportunities that will offer a greater understanding of the changing world of healthcare today. This will most importantly allow students to have a better understanding of the Great Physician. Matthew 10:8 states, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give”.

Sponsor: Ms. Tori Hale

This club is designed to inspire, equip, and connect students who are curious about the human mind. Grounded in a biblical worldview, this club approaches the study of the mind with compassion, purpose, and a Christ-centered perspective. In partnership with Calvary Christian High School's SEM Counselor, this club offers a dynamic mix of guest speakers from the field, community service opportunities, and pathways to potential internships. Mind Over Matter is for students exploring psychology for the first time or already planning their future in mental health, counseling, or related fields. Mind Over Matter provides a supportive space to grow in knowledge, ask big questions, and make meaningful connections.

Club Sponsor: Mr. Brian Eide

The Model UN Club is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as climate action, global health, and more.

Sponsor: Mr. Michael Lashbrook

This club introduces students to the growing sport of PickleBall. Previous playing experience is not required as students will gather weekly to learn to play and love the game of PickleBall. Students will be challenged regardless of their PickleBall background and will learn skills such as teamwork and communication skills.

Sponsor: Mr. Tim Bettelli

The Robotics Club provides students the opportunity to apply STEM concepts through the design, fabrication, and testing of robots as a part of the VEX Robotics Competition. The Club will participate in local and state robotics competitions, as well as robotics outreach opportunities with local schools. Students do not need prior robotics experience to participate and will learn new concepts related to design and robotics while developing teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Sponsor: Mr. Steven Eicholtz

The mission of the Warriors for Life Club is to mobilize students to be a voice that protects babies locally and globally, equips teenagers to defend life through pro-life apologetics, and prays for the ending of abortion. This club celebrates and extends the culture of life and seeks to defend life and do justice to help babies, moms, and dads. Warriors for Life invites courageous young men and women to make a difference in the largest genocide known to humanity and reflect Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).

Sponsor:  Mrs. Leslie Segraves
