Digital Art Program

Digital Art Program

Calvary Christian High School’s Digital Art program equips students with an understanding of art and digital media, rooted in a Christian Worldview. Digital Design students develop skills in graphic design, illustration, and animation, utilizing digital design software such as Procreate and Adobe Photoshop and the iPad as primary tools. In addition to developing digital design skills, students learn to apply those skills while working individually and in collaboration with others to create and refine several projects. In an ever changing world that is being rapidly formed by digital and technological advances, students will learn to critically consider art concepts and bring them into fruition for the glory of God and enhancement of His Kingdom.

Bio

My love for art sprouted during my high school years as I painted murals of Bible scenes in the hallways of my school. Painting the storyline of God’s Word moved me to fall in love with stories and illustrations. I realized every story of redemption points back to God, the Great Storyteller and Artist. Seeking to give my art and storytelling a new purpose, I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Illustration. I was born and raised in Chicago, and I am thankful for the opportunity to share my love for art and God’s Truth in the classroom at CCHS.

Scripture

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8)
