We take academics seriously at Calvary Christian High School, because not only do we prepare students for the challenges of collegiate education – but we also prepare them to be stewards of a Biblically-based lifestyle. Our goal is that all of our students should move on to represent both the Calvary name and the Word of God by building strong communities and enriching them through persistent good works. Utilizing the discipline and intellect we foster at Calvary Christian High School, we hope to see all of our students succeed as professionals and leaders once they graduate.
That is why we invest in excellent education for all of our students. Read below for an overview of our approach to academics.
Calvary Christian High School Academics
The Academic Program at Calvary Christian High School is structured for students to earn a college-preparatory diploma in an excellent educational environment. Our curriculum is designed to develop students with reasoning, research, expression, and critical thinking in order to prepare them for collegiate rigor; however, an excellent education is more than the acquisition of facts and the awarding of a diploma. An excellent education encompasses and impacts the whole person - intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
The educational environment at Calvary enables teachers to influence the minds, hearts, and bodies of its students and instill in them the wisdom, knowledge, and servant leadership required to succeed in today's changing world. This is accomplished as we teach from a Biblical worldview and integrate God’s Word into each subject. It is our desire to cultivate students with inquiring intellects who seek wisdom beyond scholarship, service before self, character before career, and participation as a way of life.
Accreditations and Advanced Courses
Calvary Christian High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Alongside our accreditations, we are also happy to offer honors courses, dual credit courses, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These courses provide students with more collegiate-like learning experiences, challenging them to study their hardest to perform their best. Dual credit and AP courses also give students transferrable credits so they can begin their college careers with a head start.
