Overview

The dance program at Calvary Christian High School seeks to exalt Jesus Christ, encourage excellence within a community of like-minded students, and display God’s love to the Tampa Bay community. Designed to meet each student’s individual learning needs, the program has two classes: Dance Technique and Strengthening and the Warrior Worship Dance Troupe. Students will be challenged to grow in strength (both physically and in character) as well as to deepen their relationship with the Lord as participants in this program.

Dance Courses

  • Dance Technique and Strengthening
    • This course serves as an introduction to dance for students at the beginner level while doubling as an opportunity for experienced dancers to increase strength. Students will receive a physical education credit upon completion of this course and will be invited to advance to the Warrior Worship Dance Troupe in future years.
  • Warrior Worship Dance Troupe
    • This performance ensemble is intended to allow experienced dancers to sharpen their craft and utilize it as a tool for worship. Performance opportunities will include CCHS chapels, partner school outreaches, and a field trip to the Dance Revolution convention. Students will receive a fine arts credit for each year of participation in this course.
