Meet the Team

Calvary Christian High School counselors are here to help you. Whether it is deciding which college to attend after you graduate, finding a career that matches your talents, or talking to someone about your questions and concerns, our counselors will guide you in mapping out your future.
Mr. Matthew Cave 

Mr. Cave is returning to the CCHS College Counseling Team for the 2023-24 school year.  He previously served at CCHS from 2015-2017.  He is excited about coming back home to Calvary.  Previously, Mr. Cave was Co-Director of College Counseling at the Maclay School in Tallahassee from 2017-2023 and Senior Admissions Counselor at Southeastern University from 2007-2015.  He holds two degrees from Southeastern University with a Bachelor's degree in Youth & Family Ministry and a Master's of Business Administration. Mr. Cave has two children, twins Henry and Ella who are in first grade.  He enjoys traveling to the beach, the mountains, and everywhere in between.  He enjoys watching sports, especially all Philadelphia teams, Penn State, Florida State, and of course, the CCHS Warriors!


Ms. Troutman joined the CCHS College Counseling team in 2017.  She enjoys engaging with students and parents about the college preparation and search process. Previously, Ms.Troutman was Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she managed the visit program. Prior to her time at UNC-Charlotte, she worked at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina as Assistant Director of Admissions for nine years.  Ms. Troutman holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Carson Newman University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from NC State University.  In her free time, Ms.Troutman enjoys music/arts performances, cycling, travel, and spending time in the great outdoors!
Mrs. Kristin Graves 

Mrs. Graves joined the Calvary Christian High School College Counseling team in August, 2021. She is passionate about helping students prepare for the future by guiding them toward the right-fit college and major.  Prior to her time at CCHS, Mrs. Graves worked in higher education at several institutions in Tennessee, Idaho, and as a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Saint Leo University in Florida.  She holds double Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Biblical Studies from Welch College and a Master's in Education from Saint Leo University.  Outside of work, Mrs. Graves enjoys all things Florida; amusement parks, the beach, and the sunshine.
Mrs. Mallory Everitt, Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Mrs. Everitt is a lifelong learner that is passionate about all facets of education.  She joined the CCHS College Counseling team in 2020 and now serves as both the Director of College Counseling and the Director of Institutional Effectiveness.  Mrs. Everitt's experience includes teaching, administration, and leadership at college and both public and private high schools.  She has spent the majority of her career in Christian education.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Clearwater Christian College and Master’s degree from Argosy University in School Counseling. When she’s not at school, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, enjoying the arts, and investing in ministry at her church near downtown Tampa.
  
Ms. Amy Smith

Ms. Smith is joining the CCHS College Counseling Team for the 2023-24 school year. She is returning to CCHS after graduating in 2017. Previously, Ms. Smith worked for Colwen Hotels, a New England-based hospitality company, where she worked with the Human Resources department as a Human Resources Coordinator. She was also an Assistant Softball Coach with Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Division III college located in Worcester, MA.  Ms. Smith attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2021 and a Master’s of Business and Analytics in 2022. She competed with the UMass softball team and served as a team captain beginning her junior year. Ms. Smith will also serve as the Associate Head Coach of the CCHS softball team.
