Calvary Christian High School counselors are here to help you. Whether it is deciding which college to attend after you graduate, finding a career that matches your talents, or talking to someone about your questions and concerns, our counselors will guide you in mapping out your future.
Ms. Amy Holderby started at Calvary Christian High School in 2014. She came to CCHS from Cedarville University just outside of Dayton, Ohio where she was Director of Admission. She has more than 14 years of college admission experience. Prior to Cedarville, she was at Berean Christian School in West Palm Beach, Florida where she was an English teacher, Academic Dean, and Guidance Counselor. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. She is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan!
Ms. Dana Troutman joined the Calvary Christian High School College Counseling team in July, 2017. She enjoys engaging with students and parents about the college preparation and search process. Previously, Ms.Troutman was Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she managed the visit program. Prior to her time at UNC-Charlotte, she worked at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina as Assistant Director of Admissions for nine years. She’s a Wolfpack girl at heart and earned her Master’s degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on educational access while working at NC State. In her free time, Ms.Troutman loves spending time in the great outdoors!!
Mr.Adam Waugh joined the staff at Calvary Christian High School in March 2019. In addition to serving as the 9th and 10th grade college counselor, Mr. Waugh is a member of the football coaching staff. Prior to joining Calvary, Mr. Waugh worked in higher education as a coach and recruiter at a number of universities around the country. He has also worked on the high school level as both a teacher and coach. He holds a BS from Illinois State University and an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Mr. Waugh is married to Kristie and they have three young children. The Waugh's reside in Tampa.
