While the high school grade point average is the best indicator of college success, colleges continue to utilize the SAT and ACT as additional means to predict college readiness. In addition to admission decisions, colleges will use the SAT and ACT for placement into certain courses as well as for scholarships. Florida Bright Futures also requires SAT and ACT scores along with GPA and community service. The Classic Learning Test (CLT) is another standardized test that is increasingly accepted by college and university admissions offices for the application process.

When testing digitally, CCHS recommends that students bring a backup device on testing day. This ensures you can access the digital testing platform and avoid disruptions if your primary device fails or cannot connect to Wi-Fi.

Recommended SAT/ACT Tutors:
The tutors listed below have been recommended by past and current CCHS Families. The College Counseling Department recommends that parents and students do their research on test preparation programs and interview potential tutors when you are able to determine what is most effective for the student's learning style and needs.
Additionally, all test preparation experts agree that having "benchmark" test results prior to tutoring is invaluable. This is why the college counseling profession has recommended for years that students take BOTH an ACT and SAT no later than the early spring of the junior year.
