How do I sign up to attend a college counseling event?

College representative sessions are hosted in-person and virtually in various locations throughout the school.  Registration is required for these sessions which are open to students in 10th-12th grade. For a list of colleges hosting a session and to register, visit the “Events” tab in Maia Learning. The list is updated weekly, so please check back every week for new colleges added to the visit schedule. Please reference the “College Rep Visit” attendance policy in the Parent/Student Handbook regarding your responsibility for your class attendance.

Registrations for all student and parent workshops are also listed in Maia Learning.

How do I send transcripts to colleges?

Please make sure that all official high school transcript requests are made through your Maia Learning Account. We can not send official transcripts unless the request has been placed in Maia with appropriate release to send academic records. Please reach out to your primary college counselor if you have any questions about this process.

How do I use Maia Learning?

The College Counseling Department uses Maia Learning, a platform designed to help students with the college application process. View the Maial Learning website and click on “watch now” to view the tutorial or login to your Maia Learning account using the buttons below.

How do I request letters of recommendation?

You can request letters of recommendation through your Maia Learning Account. Go to the “Universities” tab on the left sidebar → look for the “Recommendations” tab on the top bar. Please be sure to speak with your teacher about writing your letter of recommendation IN PERSON before requesting in Maia Learning. Do not enter any recommendation requests on your Common Application account. Reach out to your primary college counselor if you have any questions about this process.

What are the community service requirements for graduation, and how do I submit them?

It is a CCHS graduation requirement to have 100 hours of community service completed by the first day of senior year. If you have questions about earning your 100 hours of community service for graduation and the Bright Futures scholarship, review information from Mrs. Doucette linked below. Contact Mrs. Doucette with community service related questions at doucette.bonnie@cchs.us.

How do College Visit Days impact my attendance?

Full details of our attendance policy can be found on pages 32-37 of the Parent-Student Handbook, with details on approved college and career visit days specifically highlighted on pages 34-35.  Please note that students are still permitted to complete college visits as approved, excused "College Days" for attendance purposes. Freshmen are permitted two days per school year and students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades are permitted four excused college days per year. In order for your attendance to be updated, you must provide the proper documentation from the college within five school days of your college visit. The acceptable documentation needed is explained on pages 34-35 of the Parent-Student Handbook.

How do I register for the SAT/ACT?

ACT, SAT, and CLT have released the testing dates for 2026-2027. Testing dates and registration links are linked below. We strongly encourage seniors to wrap up their ACT/SAT/CLT testing in the fall. Register for your fall test dates NOW!

IMPORTANT NOTE: When testing digitally, CCHS recommends that students bring a backup device on testing day. This ensures you can access the digital testing platform and avoid disruptions if your primary device fails or cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
